Pellegatti happy with Milan’s change to a ‘fast, ready’ strategy: “It is unrecognisable”

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti believes that AC Milan’s strategy completely changes with the arrival of Igli Tare as the new sporting director.

It has been quite a busy week at Casa Milan, which it perhaps needed to be given that the dust is still settling after a dreadful 2024-25 campaign which saw the club fail to qualify for any European competition next season.

The big news began with the official announcement of Igli Tare as the new sporting director, and he got to work immediately. Then, earlier on Friday, it was confirmed that Massimiliano Allegri is back for a second spell as the head coach.

Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel to give his thoughts on the arrival of Allegri and in general to comment on how Milan, rather refreshingly, got some business done quickly.

“I had called for it, they followed me and the opinion of many: there was no need to skimp on investments to get Allegri. And in fact with five million plus two in bonuses you get close to Allegri’s standard salary,” he said (via MilanNews).

“Then, with Conte remaining in Naples and Inter uncertain about Inzaghi, Milan accelerated. In just a few days, Milan changed their strategy: it is unrecognisable compared to the one of the last few months. It is a fast, ready Milan. A negotiation had never been concluded so quickly recently.”

  1. Imagine if we would have had a sports director like Tare at the start of this past season, instead of 3 non-qualified inexperienced muppets trying to do the same work as a professional sports director

    1. Don’t forget how two of the three muppets were totally unprofessional even towards each other that Furlani went to tell on Ibra to Cardinale that he was being left out. Our current management act like children and it showed at seasons end

  2. There is no strategy. Not sure what Pellegatti is talking about. Hiring third choice SD and Max is further proof of that.

What’s the project? Get points and get Top4?

That’s not a project. That’s more of the same BS out of Elliott.

    1. With the hiring of Tate and Allegri the aim to stabilise the club from the free fall it’s been in pretty much since Conceicao came in. Tare kept lazio stable and Allegri is there to help stabilise our defence our main weakness, he doesn’t play attractive football but his teams can defend which we haven’t been able to do in years
