Pellegatti outlines Milan’s January transfer plans and hits out at those cheering European exit

By Oliver Fisher -

Carlo Pellegatti thinks AC Milan will sign a defender in January but not a forward, while he feels those celebrating the exit from Europe may be left unpleasantly surprised.

Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel (via MilanLive) and he first of all gave an update on the injury situation, confirming that the Rossoneri will not get any players back for the game against Udinese, but Rafael Leao should be there for the game against Napoli.

The attacking choices that Stefano Pioli has to pick from therefore are Krunic, Messias, Saelemaekers, Diaz and Ibrahimovic. There may be some rotations to keep things fresh, but this is the core that will be relied upon in Udine on Saturday.

In the January transfer window Milan ‘will bring in a defender’ but it does not appear that they are going to sign a striker at the moment. He also added that those cheering the Champions League exit because it allows the team to only play domestically may regret it, as “Fear a Milan who were knocked out of Europe” is not the ideal message.
