Pellegatti left with serious doubts about Milan after ‘relapse’: “No one is safe”

Carlo Pellegatti has asked where AC Milan go from here after yet another disappointing performance and another defeat away from home against Fiorentina last night.

Milan’s winning run in Serie A was stopped at three games as they lost 2-1 to Fiorentina on Sunday night in an encounter that certainly wasn’t lacking in drama. It is nonetheless a big blow for Paulo Fonseca’s side and it means there will now be two weeks of scrutiny due to the international break.

Moise Kean was the first player to miss a penalty before Milan loanee Yacine Adli gave the hosts the lead, then Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham each missed spot kicks. Christian Pulisic equalised, but Albert Gudmundsson scored the winner for La Viola, and Theo saw red at full-time.

Pellegatti published a video on his YouTube channel in which he expressed clear frustrations regarding last night’s performance and his comments were relayed by PianetaMilan.

“There are no more words to comment on a match like this that has too many things in common with the one with Parma. Then there is the penalty issue, the coach cannot name the penalty taker, namely Pulisic, and then Theo and Abraham take the penalty and not Pulisic, who seemed the easiest choice,” he began.

“There are no words for the first half performance against a normal team either. Today no one is safe. Milan started off badly. Milan managed to be worse than this Fiorentina. Leao never targeted his opponent who was also booked. Fofana was also bad. Morata was bad and Fonseca was bad.

“Now what happens in these weeks? It will be two long and heavy weeks because there will be justified criticism. The relapse is always worse than the first fall and today it was heavy.

“I never thought we would lose. It was important to win to remove the doubts and instead they all exploded again, it is an incredible situation. A complicated moment that no one expected.”

  1. Fonseca needs to go and they need to get a Coach who can control Theo, Leao, Tomori and whoelse likes to be a diva in the dressing room. The coach decides who takes PKs not Theo or Tomori!

Everybody knows this! Fonseca has lost the dressing room already and conceded it to Theo, Tomori and Leao… not a good look

    1. If you just one of the many goalscoring chances we had was converted we’d have won that game. That was not a team that doesn’t believe in the coach and want him gone.

I’ve seen teams that lost faith in the coach play and Milan isn’t even close to that. You people just want to believe he lost the locker room and you people want him to get fired because it wasn’t a choice you wanted for Milan coach.
End of the day we’re just 3 points from cl spots and there is still 31 games to go. The team is hot and cold but Milan isn’t the only team fighting for cl spots that is hot and cold.

  2. I don’t know what they want to do… Everyone knows this is failure of our great trio In management.. if all Cardinale words about ” wining every trophy ” all real from heart, first there must be change in mentality of our management and even change few people ( Moncada back to scouting , he know find good players, sack Furlani and okey … because it is Zlatan given him chance and time , but be just like right hand and help with mentality and buying players, face of Milan …that’s all) and bring experienced people to our management… then maybe even Fonseca can start play his style.. but Shit fall down from up and main problem is in management… I don’t think there will be change in coach, not after 7 games
with stats 3W, 2D 2L … it’s bad but still we are OK, 2 points from CL spot and 5 from 1st.. I’m interested how it goes because there will be empty stadium next match
