Milan announced the signing of Mike Maignan yesterday after the negotiations with Gigio Donnarumma hit a dead end. The Frenchman will thus become the Rossoneri No.1 between the sticks, ready to show off his qualities.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been working in advance for quite some time now and when Donnarumma didn’t respond after the Atalanta game, they immediately secured Maignan. An impressive move that shows Milan won’t be caught unprepared.
On Twitter, Theo Hernandez quoted the Milan announcement regarding Maignan and welcomed his compatriot to the club. The goalkeeper has now responded to the message on his Twitter page, writing: “Thank you bro, see you soon”.
Merci frérot à bientôt 😉🙏🏾 https://t.co/tUpWGxCU60

It will indeed be interesting to see Maignan in the Rossonero shirt as he had a great season with Lille, keeping the most clean sheets in the top five leagues and also securing the league title.
