AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has pledged that he and his team-mates will respond immediately after Sunday’s derby defeat to Inter.
Romagnoli has been heavily criticised by fans and by the media for his display against the Nerazzurri in which he looked to be suffering from a lack of confidence, allowing Lautaro and Romelu Lukaku to have a field day.
There have been plenty of calls for him to be dropped, but in a post on his official Instagram account, Romagnoli said: “Putting your face on it when everything goes well is easy, but it’s important to do it today too. Falling is part of the game of football, but for a group like ours, getting up and immediately reversing the course is a duty. Together, united. As always.”
