Photos and report from today’s training as Rossoneri prepare to build on recent form

AC Milan were training at Milanello today as they continue their preparations for the Serie A match at home to Bologna this weekend.

Stefano Pioli’s side will be taking on the Rossoblu on Saturday night, with kick-off set for 20:45 CET at San Siro. It promises to be a cracking game, with Bologna being one of the surprise packages in Serie A so far this season.

Thiago Motta’s side managed to get into the top four in recent weeks but a recent dip in form means that this game looks more winnable for Milan than it did earlier in the campaign.

Milan have enjoyed a positive spell in recent weeks with Pioli steadying the ship, so the club are now looking up towards Juventus and Inter rather than down to the teams that would like to displace them from the top four.

As the AC Milan website states, the team underwent some muscle exercises in the gym before heading out to the pitch where the physical exercises continued. Training ended with a game on a reduced-size pitch.

Training is undoubtedly easier to lead and more enjoyable for the players when the previous game ended in victory, even if they needed two late goals against Udinese.

  1. I know I am far from a professional, but I never, and I mean never, strength train before my jiu-jitsu sessions because your muscles are tired, and you are just pushing your luck with injury….
