Stefano appears to have breathed new life into Junior Messias’ time at AC Milan with the Brazilian thriving in a new role, a report claims.
As has been pointed out by Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan), Messias has taken incredibly well to the right wingback role that he has been tasked with operating in recently.
There has never been a lack of commitment or effort from Messias but he has had a very minimal impact on the team in recent weeks and months, along with many others in the team.
The new role as part of the new formation seems to suit him as he has space to run up and down the wing with his immense energy levels but he also has teammates nearby to work with rather than being isolated one-on-one with a defender.
He will be tested now as Davide Calabria has returned from injury and is expected to take that role.
Messias is better than Calabria at that position atleast.
