Tuttosport: Pioli dreams of signing €25-30m winger but Milan’s stance may prevent it

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli is one of the biggest advocates of the possibility of AC Milan signing Domenico Berardi but it appears difficult at the moment, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reveals that Berardi is a player that has been admired by Pioli for some time and the Rossoneri head coach would gladly have him at Milan given that he would be an improvement on the current right wing options.

The problem at the moment however is that Sassuolo are wanting around €25-30m to sell the 28-year-old and that is an amount that Milan do not want to pay given their preference to focus on younger players if spending that amount.

For players that are of the age that Berardi is, Milan are unlikely to invest more than €15m as per the newspaper, even if he does have 14 goals and 11 assists in 27 league games during the current season.
