PM: Milan eyeing €30m-rated RB Leipzig striker as perfect end to window

AC Milan are still hoping to cap off their summer transfer window with the signing of a striker, according to a report, and the number one target has emerged.

According to PianetaMilan, the management could look to loan Lorenzo Colombo out and sign a replacement who offers more guarantees as a deputy to Olivier Giroud, given Noah Okafor is a very different type of player.

An opportunity could emerge amid the ever-changing landscape of the mercato such as Mehdi Taremi, who amassed 31 goals and 14 assists in 51 games last season for Porto, or even Romelu Lukaku who could become an option on loan with an option to buy.

The third name is the one that Milan like the most: Benjamin Šeško. The Slovenian centre-forward moved last January from Salzburg to Leipzig (both clubs owned by Red Bull) for €24m but it only became effective on 1 July.

Last season in Austria, he scored 18 goals and provided 4 assists in 41 games. However, he could be instantly allowed to leave because Timo Werner and Loïs Openda are ahead of him in the pecking order. A €30m initial price has been set.
