PM: Montpellier forward viewed as Milan’s surprise striker option in the summer

By Euan Burns -

Montpellier forward Akor Adams is still on the radar of AC Milan and is viewed as a more surprising striker option than Jonathan David and Serhou Guirassy, a report claims.

As has been reported by Pianeta Milan, the 23-year-old striker is one of a number of targets who is slightly lower down the list than the aforementioned names.

Lille’s David has been linked with Milan for a long time and still seems to be the favoured option for Milan as they seek an eventual replacement for Olivier Giroud.

Stuttgart’s Guirassy is attracting attention from all over Europe and Milan are one of many teams looking closely at the in-form Bundesliga star.

Alongside those two, Montpellier’s Adams is having an impressive Ligue 1 campaign, having netted seven times in 15 games.

He only arrived in France from Lillestrom in the summer of 2023 for €4.5m which means a January move is unlikely, and Montpellier will be expecting to make a big profit should Milan sign him.

  1. If we loose on Wednesday, it would make no sense to invest in January for a striker. It would be better to wait till June and see whoever our coach would be so he can decide on the signings.
