Milan still control their own fate, because two wins in their final two games of the season would guarantee a top-four finish. Yet, they’ve been overtaken by Juventus, caught by Roma, and Como are only two points behind. So, hopes are fading fast.
A never-ending collapse
If they were to miss out on the Champions League, it would be a sporting and financial flop that would severely complicate their transfer strategy and their general plans for next season. Qualification is still entirely in Milan’s hands, but how can this team earn six points against Genoa and Cagliari?
The squad are showing no signs of life, and now even the fans have turned on them. After strongly criticising the ownership and CEO Giorgio Furlani in particular, many abandoned their seats at the stadium well before the end of the match.
