Fichajes.net: Premier League side launches first bid for Milan star Leao

By Euan Burns -

Premier League side Chelsea has launched the first bid for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao who is yet to sign a contract extension with the Rossoneri, a report claims.

As has been reported by Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net, it is Europe’s big spenders of the last two windows, Chelsea, that have moved first in what is likely to be a long race for Leao’s signature.

It is believed that Chelsea are willing to pay around €100 million for the Portuguese forward. That is thought to be the absolute minimum that Milan would consider accepting to let Leao leave.

The Rossoneri are still trying to get him to sign a new contract in the near future. The negotiations have been going on for a very long time.

With his current deal expiring in June 2024, it is time for Milan to either secure his renewal or sell him for a fee close to his actual value.

    1. Let’s just assume that Leao renews with us, and if the management does not make the necessary investment in the required positions, then he won’t be able to blossom at his best. And unfortunately the price will go down.. I don’t expect the price to reach 200m without any reinforcements. Either sell him now and reinvest or renew his contract and build the squad..

    2. Nope. That’s not how it works. Now is the best time for Milan to sell him. We should have done the same with Donnarumma and Kessie instead of letting them leave for free.

    3. I’m gonna wait that sir Maldini read some good finance book, in the meantime popcorn e patatine and I enjoy this masterpiece from Aurelio De Laurentis

  1. Seems a bit unlikely from where i stand because as man city is under investigation chelsea is it with their recent huge spending and signing players on very long contracts to bypass the ffp. Besides of that its not like they are in a great need of a new left wing.

      1. sure that generally is the case but seriously man city are under great scrutiny and could risk great repercussions and the same with chelsea but who knows they might go scot-free but there has neverthelless been signs of that there could be some punishment waiting and chelsea has been especially spending lately and they are not in great need of a left winger.
        We’ll see though 😀

  2. Chelsea just spent around 100 mil on Mudryk, after they spent over 50 mil for Sterling over the summer. 2 players that play in Leao’s position.
If Chelsea wanted Leao, they would have came back for him in January and they didn’t, but instead chose Mudryk, for whom they paid more money BTW than they offered over the summer for the “mvp” of serie A.
Every player agent just uses Chelsea, ManCity and PSG to spread rumors about interest in their clients to get more money from their current clubs.
I don’t believe the report is true, but I hope it is true because getting 100 mil for Leao would be a massive win for Milan.

  3. i was in sports bar the other day in rio de janerio in brazil i was amazed how flamengo fans love bruno henrique they where raving about him some of the fans told me he is their best player and he is most underrated players in brazil the passion they speak about him made me wonder who the hell this guy anyone that watch brazilian league know if this guy is really good ,
from google i find his 32 his state doesn’t look that impressive and from youtube he just look good not the way flamengo fans spoke about him like he is ronaldo if he is that good i hope my milan steal him

    1. Either you are really badly informed or someone is pulling your tail or you are a troll. Sure the fella has pretty great stats in brazil and had 1 lousy year in europe in germany for wolfsburg BUT the player has been injured for the last 250 days and has missed 54 games straight and is still injured at the time speaking and he has an age of 32 .
      You gotta be freaking kidding.

      1. i know he was injured , they where talking about the injury to their best player bruno henrique was one of the main reason they lost against Al Hilal they still mad as hell about it lol
believe me flamengo fans love bruno henrique for some reason i thought they gonna like De Arrascaeta or Gabriel Barbosa but no they really like bruno henrique maybe he show his loyalty to them or something because everyone was talking about him

        1. His stats was fairly impressive in brazil i wont argue against that and its not like older players cant have an important role but the player is nevertheless still injured with no clear sign of when he will return so pardon me that i was thinking you was trolling but in my view it wouldnt really make sense to bring in a 32 year old player who hasnt played for a year.
To be fair i wouldnt mind Gabriel Barbosa but it would largely depend on the reuest of flamengo and if he is better equipped for a stint in europe by now.

          1. i agree with you Gabriel Barbosa or De Arrascaeta would be good signing for us ,unfortunately flamengo will ask a lot for them

  4. Even if we sell him for 100m i don’t think management would even buy some players for high budget. They still want cheaper players

  5. Unfortunatly this story is made up. Why, because even the most poorly run team in the world would never pay anywhere near that much for Leao. I suspect that there’s close to zero chance of him resigning with Milan, and even less that anyone will put forth a real offer of over 40M.
