President of Albanian FF admits he would like Chelsea forward to join Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

The president of the Albanian Football Federation has admitted that he would like to see Armando Broja join AC Milan from Chelsea.

A number of different sources both in Italy and in England have linked Milan with a move for Broja, given that the Rossoneri management know an investment will be needed in a striker probably next summer given Olivier Giroud is 36, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 41 and Divock Origi hasn’t hit the ground running.

Pietro Mazzara’s recent column for MilanNews spoke about how Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that another younger striker will be needed, and Chelsea’s Broja ‘remains among the most popular names’ on the wish list of the two directors .

Now, Armand Duka – the president of the Albanian Football Federation – has had his say on the rumours linking Broja with a move away from Chelsea, with his comments relayed by SempreMilan.it.

“It was better when he was at Southampton where he almost always played as a starter. At Chelsa, he plays 15-20 minutes every game and it’s not quite the same as playing 90,” he said.

“Future in Italy? I care that he plays and is well, I don’t care where. Then, of course, if he plays for Milan even better because I’m also a bit of a Milan fan.”

  1. Of course he wants him to move to Milan, Albania and Kosovo are massive fans of Serie a, even so Albania even plays with the same flow as a Serie a game that would benefit Broja in 2 ways moving to a European Giant and having to get more national team experience while playing club football
