Primavera star Marco Brescianini reveals his AC Milan dream in insightful interview

AC Milan starlet Marco Brescianini has become the latest Rossoneri player to give an insight into his career so far on the club’s Instagram.

We recently did a series looking at three current players from the youth team who are close to potentially cracking the senior side, and Brescianini was the third instalment.

Throughout the 2019-20 season with Milan’s Primavera, Brescianini has played as a central midfielder in all of the 12 games he has featured in. He has contributed with six goals and two assists in those games – averaging a goal every other game.

He is tipped for a bright future at the club, but while football has taken a break due to the ongoing COVID-19 emergency he took the time to respond to questions from fans on Milan’s Instagram page.

On training with the first team: “It is an honour to join the first team for the second year. The very high pace requires a maximum and constant concentration,” he began (via MilanNews).

On the first autograph: “I was incredulous, but very happy.”

On how he will celebrate his first goal: “I think I would celebrate spontaneously.”

On the youth sector: “I entered the Milan academy at the age of 8, I can say that the competence of the various staff I have had is very high.”

On his Milan dream: “I’d like to win a derby as a protagonist.”

On the match against Manchester United in the International Champions Cup: “Being on the field with players I had only seen on TV was a great emotion.”

On being the captain of the Primavera: “It has made me very responsible for my teammates and gave me new stimuli.”

About how he describes himself: “Three adjectives? Reliable, constant and stubborn.”

On his most important quality: “I think it’s determination.”

On what Milan and football mean to him: “Milan are my favourite team and my second family. Football is my life.”

On relegation in 2018-19: “There was a lot of bitterness and regret. But I was confident of regaining our ranking and it happened.”

On his best and his most important goal so far: “The most beautiful goal against Napoli, the most important one against SPAL because it came in the last minute and we won.”

On a return to the field: “These months of quarantine have increased my desire to return to the field. I can not wait to start again.”
