MN: Problems at Lille slow Milan’s pursuit of duo despite their will being clear

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s pursuit of two Lille players has been slowed down by internal problems involving the Ligue 1 club, according to a report.

MilanNews report that after Milan’s takeover was completed and RedBird Capital’s ownership is effective immediately with the current directors remaining in place, the negotiations over Sven Botman and Renato Sanches should be able to get back under way.

However, Lille are slowing down discussions and there is talk of internal problems at the French club, who are opposing the Rossoneri’s offers over the sake of a few million euros, especially for Botman.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want the Dutchman and hope that they can eventually reach an agreement with all parties involved to bolster the defence with their No.1 target. In the meantime Renato Sanches is waiting, but the Portuguese midfielder has made it clear he wants Milan and hopes that the situation will be unlocked soon.
