AC Milan have been overtaken by Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign midfielder Renato Sanches from Lille, according to a report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how Sanches’ transfer to Milan seemed to have been done until a few days ago and instead his future could be at PSG as the Parisian club have overtaken the Rossoneri in their pursuit.
Luis Campos, the new director of PSG, knows the Portuguese midfielder well given he brought him to Lille in 2019 and also the possible appointment of Christophe Galtier as the head coach could be a big factor.
Galtier is a former Lille coach with whom Renato Sanches won the French league title in the 2020-21 season, which would give PSG another edge in their attempts to land the 24-year-old. Milan, it seems, must make another push if they are to tie up a deal that they have been working on for months now.

@sempremilan, can you please implement a new commenting system? This one is terrible and plenty others exist with better interfaces, replying features, down/upvoting, etc. This would encourage community engagement and ultimately lead to higher pageviews and time spent on page. Plenty of options exist such as Openweb, Viafoura, Disqus, etc. It would be a win-win for yourself and your visitors.
Even though Disqus is pretty awful it’s still million times better than this!
Agreed. Plenty of options out there. I realized I am not able to reply to a reply after 1-2 times which makes debating and discussion really difficult with this current platform not to mention the threads are mixed up and difficult to follow. Anything would be better than this.
