Raimondi: Rangnick expects Cardinale’s answer by Sunday – Milan and Austria waiting

Rangnick Cardinale

It seems that movements could occur this weekend, and Ralf Rangnick could say yes to AC Milan’s proposal this week, if he receives one, too.

At present, it is tense around Milan, largely because no one knows what is happening and when. However, things could move soon. Oliver Glasner has a contract waiting for him and that could be furthered on Friday.

Though it seems that it will only arrive once a decision is made on the sporting director. However, the wait for them, too, may be over soon.

Rangnick gives Cardinale deadline

According to Claudio Raimondi, speaking to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Ralf Rangnick is ready to leave his post with Austria before the World Cup, as long as he receives an answer from Gerry Cardinale by Sunday. This is only a few days before the Boys’ campaign begins.

Indeed, if his requests are granted by the American, he would be ready to take the role with the Rossoneri there and then.

However, if he does not hear the required response, he may choose to extend his deal with the Austrian national team, closing the door to the suggestions that he could join the Rossoneri.

It could be a tense few days as he makes a decision, and it could kickstart major changes at Casa Milan.
