AC Milan put on one of the best shows they have all season last night, routing Bologna 3-0 at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara.
Dominant first halves have been somewhat of a rarity for Milan this season, but they bucked that trend as Ruben Loftus-Cheek fired in the first goal from Adrien Rabiot’s cut-back, then Christopher Nkunku tucked away a penalty.

Rabiot turned from provider to scorer early in the second half as he took advantage of a wild throw-in from Juan Miranda, and the Rossoneri could have even scored more. In the end, they had to make do with a three-goal win, moving seven points clear of fifth place.
Bologna 0-3 AC Milan: Paper ratings
La Gazzetta dello Sport have their ratings from the game this morning, giving the team’s performance and Massimiliano Allegri’s management a score of 8 out of 10. The man of the match was Rabiot, who got an 8, but his compatriot Nkunku received the same grade.
Mike Maignan got the ‘lowest’ grade with a 6 out of 10, but it was purely because of how little he had to do. Samuele Ricci, Fikayo Tomori and Niclas Füllkrug also got a pass off the bench.
Davide Bartesaghi was given a 6.5, then come a sea of 7s: Koni De Winter, Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic and Youssouf Fofana were praised. Zachary Athakem, Luka Modric and Loftus-Cheek even got a 7.5.
Corriere dello Sport were also upbeat about Milan’s performance. Rabiot was the highest scorer with an 8, with Modric, Loftus-Cheek and Nkunku getting half a point less. Gabbia, Fofana and Athekame scored 7.
De Winter, Pavlovic and Bartesaghi were graded a 6.5, with only Tomori and Ricci (two substitutes) getting a simple passing grade, along with Maignan.

Bologna played poorly . Milan were sloppy in attack !!!
I agree with you about Bologna, but I actually think the Diavolo were really good in building the attack. They just weren’t good finishing. They missed at least 4 outstanding goal opportunities.
On an un-related point, Corriere dello Sport has the fairest and most accurate player evaluations week in and week out. It’s as if they actually watched the game instead of reading the box score😀
but managed to score 3! I’ll take that.
