Real Madrid firmly believe in Brahim Diaz to the extent that they are already planning for his return at the end of the season, a report claims.
At the end of the current season his two-year loan at Milan expire, and Diario AS report that he will return more mature and with more experience having already played 93 games under Stefano Pioli since joining on an initial one-year loan in 2020-21.

Not even the arrival of Charles De Ketelaere – Milan’s big summer signing – is preventing him from shining in Serie A, with a big goal against Juventus and a brace against Monza coming in the last month alone.
Brahim has a contract until 2025 with Real Madrid and the LaLiga side have always been confident in the 23-year-old, as the €17m they paid January 2019 to get him from Manchester City shows.
The report also states that Milan tried to insert an option to buy into the loan but this was rejected by Los Blancos whose stance is clear: at the end of the loan he will return, and next July he will, possibly to replace Marco Asensio.

Its not that i disagree with the sentiment of putting all our eggs in one basket but there are two major reasons why we have made a lot of deals in france in recent years.
First of all Moncada is propably one of the french scouts if not the scout with the highest esteem in his knowledge in regard of french talent and players from that league.
2ndly french talents of equal quality to italian ones simply is far cheaper.

Besides of valverde the other two wouldnt have been within our means and from the looks of it isnt yet either.
Milan bought Hugo Cuenca (17) in august and whos to say if he wont develope into a great player at least the interest was big from clubs like barca but milan drew the longest straw.
In the end i believe this is a transition period and in a few years it will propably have changed to us having both more italian players and hopefully some from south america as well. I would like to add one final point and that is that the fact that we have a bunch of french and belgian players propably also have made it easier for those players to acclimatize to a new life and setting,
Maybe they wanted to move away from South America because of the past. Real Madrid are also after Bellingham. They see Diaz as a replacement for Modric, but he’s going to have a hard time getting into that side.
I mean, besides Leo Duarte and maybe Paqueta , Milan hasn’t really had bad experience with players bought from South America.
Paqueta had a strong start in his first 6 months under Gattuso, and then had a bad 2nd season with the change of coaches Giampaolo and Pioli
Dude, keep in mind that everyone else has their eyes on Latin America. Any good 18y/o talent from Brazil, Uruguay or Argentina now fetches 20-30m when 15 years ago it would have been 10-15m. We can afford to be spending that kind of money on “potential” when we need ready starters at 2-3 positions still. For whatever reason France seems to be the place to find value. Maignan 15m, Kalulu 500k, etc.
