Relevo: Fenerbahce continue work for Krunic but are yet to meet Milan’s demands

By Euan Burns -

Fenerbahce still want to sign Rade Krunic from AC Milan this summer but they are going to have to raise their offer if the Rossoneri are going to green-light the deal, a report claims.

As has been reported by Matte Moretto for Relevo, the Turkish side are still working hard to sign the Bosnian and have not given up yet.

Milan recently raised their asking price for the player to €12-15m, and Fenerbahce are yet to get very close to that price.

With each passing day, it seems more likely that Krunic will be remaining at Milan, much to the delight of Stefano Pioli who values him very highly.

His versatility proved to be very important last season in the wake of Ismael Bennacer’s injury and the need to try new formations to get better results.

Milan would be forced to quickly sign a new midfielder if Krunic was to leave.

    1. Why would we sell Krunic? With Musah being used as a mezzala in the last two friendlies, Krunic is our only established defensive midfielder. We should sign upgrade with Krunic as back-up. Only four positions needed to be urgently addressed this summer.
Striker (we got Okafor), right wing (we got Chukwueze), attacking midfield (we changed formation), and defensive midfielder (nothing yet).
Bennacer’s injury and Tonali’s sale meant we needed more signings but a defensive midfielder would have been a bigger priority for me than Pulisic and Romero. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great bonuses, just not urgent.

  1. When I said we sold Tonali for a mere 70mill some persons had certain reservations.. not withstanding that, where does Musa fit in this team ? Is Krunic important, yes but for dept purposes. The obsession of Pioli with him makes me feel Milan should sell him cus I don’t understand him getting the nod over Musa or Adli. Let’s let him go and be done with him. I know that Few games into the season we may need to get a new coach because the task at hand is more than Pioli can handle.

    1. Musah have been with the team for all of one week.Same with Chukwueze.
      The season starts this weekend.
Do you want Pioli to start Musash in the 1st game of the season in a position that he has probably never played before?
Musah and Chukwueze will slowly be integrated in the starting line up. Until then Pulisic and Krunic will start

      1. So we should pay Krunic 2.5mill a season while Reijnders receives less because Krunic is treating to leave? And you and I know Krunic is largely trash.. and know this, as long as Krunic is in this team Pioli will never play another person in that DM position.

        1. Right, because for 4 years as a Milan player, Krunic was the 1st name on his list when Pioli was planning the starting lineup.
He became a starter for the 2nd part of last season out of necessity. Bennacer got injured and Pioli had no other option but to play Krunic as a starter. The midfield with Krunic looked better and he stayed as a starter even after Bennacer returned from injury.
At the moment there is no other DM on the team that can fill that role.
Who do you want him to play in that role? Realistically, not players that play for other teams and especially not Adli. Who?
And yeah he deserves to get paid more than Reijnders because Reijnders hasn’t even played a real game for Milan yet. Reijnders needs to prove himself in the league 1st. Remember CDK?
People were excited the same way about CDK last season as well. How that turned out?

          1. “And yeah he deserves to get paid more than Reijnders because Reijnders hasn’t even played a real game for Milan yet. Reijnders needs to prove himself in the league 1st. Remember CDK?”

Based on the 3-4 training matches Reijnders has already shown more character and willingness to play for the shirt than CDK whole year combined. Let’s see how well your comparison ages… Let’s get back to this same sentence in December, eh? 😀

          2. @bb the point was that Reijnders has to prove himself first.
And also after 3,4 training matches last summer and the beginning of the season CDK also looked very good.
Adli is the greatest preseason player of all time.
I have high expectations for Reijnders, but let’s see how he and the new players perform when Milan plays games that actually count

          1. That’s simply impossible, management would not even consider selling him mid season because pioli sees him as an important player and we don’t have other dms in the team.

          1. Very simple.
You have a player that has received an offer from another club with higher salary.
You can either sell him or if you wanna keep him you going to have to raise his salary.
If you refuse to sell him and refuse to give him a pay raise you will have a player who will be unhappy and won’t give his all on the pitch.
            It’s simple human psychology.
It’s no different from any other profession. You can either give your employee a raise or you going to have to let him go work at the other company for more money

          2. A company does not give an employee with a lack of skills a raise just because he has another offer. He’s replaceable, they get someone else.

So, by your logic, should everyone who wants a raise (even though they have a contact) just find another team that will pay them more and then try to strong arm their current team? And if they don’t get their way, don’t give 100% on the field? Well, if that’s someone’s attitude, it’s clearly time for them to leave.

  2. How can you takeaway Poli’s fav player… this is total disregard to Poli feelings. Poli have already lost one of his pets Diaz. Can’t touch this…

  3. Krunic reminds me of the banter era. Really a player that shouldn’t be at Milan. Management needs to sell now because in a year he will be a worth a quarter of what is being offered.
