Relevo: Milan enquire about RB Leipzig striker after 12-goal season at Sociedad

A new name has emerged on AC Milan’s list of attacking targets in Alexander Sørloth of RB Leipzig, according to a report.

According to the latest update from Matteo Moretto of Relevo, the Milan management are exploring the possibility of a move for Sørloth as well as for Alvaro Morata as their search for a new centre-forward continues.

The 27-year-old Norwegian scored 12 league goals last year on loan at Real Sociedad and was one of the protagonists of the Basque side’s conquest of a Champions League place.

He is currently owned by Leipzig and a simple survey has been carried out by the Rossoneri management, nothing more for the moment. Real Sociedad will try to bring him back too, as per the report.

Last season was a much better return from the former Crystal Palace man compared to 2021-22 when he scored four league goals in 33 games. At Leipzig he amassed five goals and three assists in 29 Bundesliga games in 2020-21.

  1. Right on cue. I mentioned Sorloth a couple of days ago on a “who else is there?” list and I see a ‘journalist’ is making the same random guesses.

  2. I’m sure he’s form is gonna drop he’s not good 28 and can’t score enough. Also in RSC he had Kubo. RB Leipzig keep on sending him on loan for a reason and the reason is he’s not good and no one wants to buy him so only on loan and it’s dry loan no clause

    1. And that might be what we need for the season if we can’t land a bigger target. Someone steady and reliable to fill in when Giroud needs a rest, capable of bringing wingers into play, keeping the ball active, being a Plan B when the Plan A isn’t working and getting 10 goals a season
