Repubblica: Renato Sanches asks Milan for answers as PSG offer €50m package

By Oliver Fisher -

Renato Sanches wants answers from AC Milan as he is aware that Paris Saint-Germain and Lille have found an agreement, according to a report.

According to La Repubblica, the Portuguese midfielder has had an agreement with the Rossoneri for some time over personal terms on the basis of a four-year contract with a net worth of €3.2m per season.

However, PSG have crucially found an agreement with Lille for €25m plus bonuses, while the offer that Paolo Maldini has put forward is €18m plus €2m in bonuses and he has already communicated to Lille that he does not intend to match the offer of PSG.

The Parisians have proposed a five-year deal worth almost €5m per season to the 24-year-old and that means the risk of missing out on the man picked to be Franck Kessié’s heir remains very real for the Rossoneri. That is why Sanches is asking for answers, while the alternative for Milan is Roma’s Jordan Veretout.

  1. Good idea. If we can’t buy young players. Why not try signing almost 30’s players for cheaper and cheaper one. Y’all the best.

  2. We hate psg because oil money, but at the same time we want milan took over by investcorp rather than red bird. What a Hypocrisy

    1. Exactly man. The doom and gloom Milan “fans” are really disappointing. We just came off the back of a Scudetto winning season and STILL they criticize every move by the club. These same people were criticizing us not upping our offer for Donnarumma and Calhanoglu and look how that turned out. I think these guys should go support City or PSG instead.

      1. If you can’t see the difference between that situation and the current one then you don’t understand football. It’s precisely because we won the Scudetto that we need players to build on this success and potentially challenge teams in Europe. We lack attacking players and we need a few top signings to be consistently competitive at the top. As it stands, we’re good but not good enough.

        1. Correctly said.
This guy MilanNYC gives optimistic opinions while nothing is going correctly. He can be okay with 1 trophy in 10 years we aren’t. When you win something you go up. Currently we are going down as things stand.

        2. Ok, we won Scudetto. I think, Inter lost Scudetto, and we were lucky. But, that happen once. Does that mean: we won Scudetto and we do not need new players? For me, CL is only reliable to show to everybody, how much they worth.

          1. It takes time to build a club capable of being successful in the Champions League in modern football economics. Even the big Premier League clubs were not successful for years after their acquisitions. Look at PSG as a good example, spend like crazy but haven’t won a CL yet under their current ownership. A club that has far smaller revenues like Milan has to build slower and that is the path that management seems to be on. As revenues grow, so too can spend on players but that takes time. The problem is some of you have tasted success and want to instantly spend to get to compete for the CL but unfortunately that is not how things work anymore.

          2. We were “lucky”?? Did you watch this last season and the amount of bs ref decisions that went against us?

    2. Investcorp was the only solution other than Redbird that’s why people prefer them. And investcorp wasn’t oil money. it was another investment fund NOT BACKED by State of Bahrain.

    3. Investcorp is not oil money, they are similar to Redbird. Investcorp is just an investment fund who cannot raise enough fund to buy Milan. Redbird raise more funds than Investcorp.

  3. We still don’t know the importance of this sale to Redbird group, milan seemed to be better before this sale,we are all feeling slight confusion around the club,we cannot even complete a relevant signing of Renato sanches.. after winning the scudetto, milan should plan for higher success by strengthening the team mostly to compete in the UCL next season,we can not wait for so long to have a strong team to give us joy we deserved..I hope everything goes well, FORZA MILAN..

  4. @Honest truth: I doubt PSG will win CL any time soon. Why? Because, they are buying players, like they are on flee market. No plans, taktics, and most important, they do not have trainer. Liverpool without Klop is nothing. If people in PSG wants to win, it is better to pay 20M good trainer, than 50M Messi, Mbape or Neymar. But, there are only 4-5 trainers able to win CL, and they are not cheap and free.

  5. Theres alot of fake Milan fan, did they expect Milan would buy overprice and waste money. Come on Milan won such a great way, no overrated and overprice players. They build unknown players and make them a champion. Milan is a champion, we might not have money to buy pricey player but Milan show the world theres another way to win a title. This 19th Scudetto is so different and satisfying. Its like telling other club you can buy expensive players and have higher salaries but did you won? No. 😂 Forza Milan!!

  6. Guys, if Milan cant spend big bcos of budget restraints why arent they going for players such as Belotti, dybala, etc. Once berlusconi left we became cheap and started bargain hunting. The one owner who had vision was Li Yonghong but unfortunately lost the club. The media also dont make things easier with these gossip stories. But we should trust Maldini and co.
