Report: AC Milan ready to go back in for €25m Barcelona defender this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could go back in for defender Jean-Clair Todibo in the upcoming transfer window, at least if reports from Spain are to be believed.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Todibo during the January transfer window but he eventually ended up joining Schalke on loan from Barcelona with an option to buy.

However, Catalan outlet Sport (via MilanLive) report that there is a chance that the Bundesliga side will not take up that option which could present a new opportunity for the Rossoneri.

Due to the Coronavirus emergency, Schalke will have to deal with some massive economic losses and therefore it seems difficult that they will spend the €25m needed to take him to Gelsenkirchen permanently.

Todibo is destined to return to Barcelona, where however there seems to be no space. Milan could then evaluate the cost of the operation and see if he could make a perfect partner for Alessio Romagnoli.
