Report: Man Utd and Everton enquire about Milan star who is unsettled after recent events

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could sell captain Alessio Romagnoli in the summer with two Premier League clubs interested, according to a report.

Il Milanista writes that the future of loanee Fikayo Tomori will be decided in the coming weeks as Milan have an option to buy set at €28m, a figure that Maldini and Massara will try to lower, even if it cannot be ruled out that the Rossoneri management will choose to pay the amount already agreed.

In the minds of Maldini and Massara is the idea of selling Romagnoli, whose contract will expire in June 2022. The club captain – as well as his agent Mino Raiola – has not taken the recent selection choices well and that could signify a break in relations.

It is tough to imagine a contract renewal and a number of clubs have begun to ask for information such as Manchester United and Everton, who are coaches by Carlo Ancelotti. The Toffees would be ready to welcome Romagnoli and make him the new leader of their back line.
