Manchester United are looking to win the race for the signing of Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez, a report claims, amid links with a move to Milan.
Rodriguez has been strongly linked with an exit from the Bernabeu this summer as he has made just 14 appearances this season. Eight of those have come in LaLiga.
El Chiringuito (via BeSoccer) recently reported that the Rossoneri have put forward an offer to Real Madrid for the Colombia international, as well as Benfica, Manchester United and Inter.
Madrid would not object to his ext exit and would be willing to let him leave for just €15million, a rather derisory amount when compared with the €80million they paid to sign him from Monaco back in 2014.
Now, the Daily Express in England are reporting that Manchester United will be the first team to move for the 29-year-old, for whom Real are asking for a fee of around €25m.
A source close to the player apparently even told them that James “wants to go England rather than any other country,” suggesting that they have the inside track on a potential deal.
