AC Milan are in talks with Barcelona over a move for right-back Emerson in the upcoming transfer window, according to one journalist.
Milan have struggled for consistency down the right side of their defence all season with Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti both failing to hold down a spot in the starting XI for long periods due to injuries, suspensions and poor form.
Kalulu is already set to join from Lyon on a five-year deal, but there has been a lot of speculation that the Rossoneri are still after a new starter, someone who is considered more ready for senior football in Italy.
According to the latest from Nicolo Schira on Twitter, talks are ongoing between Barcelona and Milan over Emerson, who is on loan at Real Betis but can be recalled for a total of €6million.
Betis are also entitled to 50% of all future transfer fees that the Catalan giants recoup which threatens to up the price of the deal.
Mundo Deportivo meanwhile are reporting that Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham all have eyes on the wing-back.
Sign Emerson and sell both Calabria and Conti!
