Report: Milan joined by Everton and Monaco in six-team race for Barcelona starlet

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in a ‘total war’ to sign Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo which involves a number of teams, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Monday (via MilanNews.it) that Milan and Barcelona have now reached an agreement regarding Todibo, adding that Milan are now working on agreeing personal terms with the teenager.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo there are a number of clubs who feel they are not yet out of the race to sign him.

Ever since Barcelona opened the exit door for the former Toulouse starlet to leave, several teams have decided to try and pounce, including the likes of Monaco and Everton.

In addition, the Spanish outlet claims that Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen and Southampton have all made enquiries about Todibo too.

Mundo Deportivo adds that we ‘will have to see what happens in the coming weeks’ but that Todibo is ‘currently one of the most desired players by several important clubs in Europe’.
