Report: Milan still want to sign USA international with €2.8m contract offer on the table

AC Milan are still keen on securing a deal for Wigan Athletic left-back Antonee Robinson, according to a report.

Robinson recently revealed that his move to Milan collapsed on deadline day in January due to a heart irregularity.

Widespread reports emerged on the night before the final day of the window suggesting that Milan and Wigan had agreed a fee for the USA international, with left-back Ricardo Rodriguez having completed a move to PSV Eindhoven earlier in the day.

Robinson then travelled to Milano on Friday morning to complete a dream deadline day move, undergoing both his medical and physical checks before heading to the club’s Casa Milan headquarters, but ultimately the deal was not completed.

However, English outlet The Sun are claiming that the Rossoneri are still keen on signing Robinson as they look for a reliable back-up left-back to allow Theo Hernandez some rest.

The defender apparently has a three-year contract offer on the table, which is claimed to be worth around €2.8m.
