Report: Zidane has final say as Milan are offered chance to sign Real Madrid defender

By Oliver Fisher -

Confirmation has arrived from Spain that Milan have been offered the chance to sign Nacho Fernandez from Real Madrid.

Milan are looking to strengthen in all departments this summer and after completing the midfield with the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz and possible Tiemoue Bakayoko, the defence could now be the focus.

Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti recently told TMW that some intermediaries have offered Nacho of Real Madrid to the Rossoneri management, but Milan have made it known that at the moment there are other priorities.

According to Todofichajes.com, Milan have indeed been proposed the Spaniard while in talks over Brahim, and Milan could try to sign the 30-year-old on loan to get some much-needed defensive cover.

Much will depend both on the will of the player and on that of the Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, who will have to decide whether to let him leave or not, but last season Nacho took the field in only 6 league games, due to several muscle injuries.
