Reports: Ibrahimovic rejects No.10 shirt and could return to Milanello early from Sweden duty

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could return to Milanello early as he may not feature in all three of Sweden’s upcoming fixtures, according to a report.

The striker wants to help Sweden qualify for Qatar 2022 and also participate in the European Championship that will be played in the summer, having confirmed his comeback to the international stage after nearly five years away.

Newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanLive) writes today that after the matches against Georgia and Kosovo – both World Cup qualifiers – it should not be excluded that Ibra will return to Milanello to prepare for the league match against Sampdoria. Therefore, he could miss the friendly against Estonia on 31 March.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting how Ibra refused the No.10 shirt that Emil Forsberg offered him and instead will play with the No.11 that young striker Alexander Isak offered him. He also will not take the captain’s arm band, which will remain with Granqvist.
