VfL Wolfsburg and AC Milan have reached an agreement over the transfer of Aster Vranckx to the Rossoneri, according to a report.

According to L’Equipe (via SempreMilan.it), Vranckx is set to join Milan on an initial season-long loan deal from the Bundesliga side that will have an option to buy set at €13.5m.

Wolfsburg signed the the central midfielder from KV Mechelen in the summer of 2021 but are now set to sell him after just one season with them in which he featured 28 times.

Calciomercato.com report that the deal involves an initial loan fee of €1.5m and then an option to buy of €12m, with the move now ‘one step away’ from being concluded.

Ever since Niko Kovac took over as coach ahead of the current campaign it has become clear that the 19-year-old is down the pecking order and has now decided to try a new challenge in Italy with a club that is now well known for backing young players.

    1. milan die hard fan — what are you trying to say?

That signing young players over and over (like Kalulu, Theo, Tomori, Bennacer, Tonali, etc.?) is a bad thing? I don’t understand what you’re saying.

Everton wanted this kid and they called him a “sensation” — do you understand how money works also? Milan don’t have the kind of money that Premier League teams have; so M&M must be smart and frugal and look for diamonds in the rough scouting good young players. It’s working. They’re smart … certainly (obviously) much smarter than you and me.
