Reports: Milan linked with Fenerbahce defender who also interests Liverpool

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have been linked again with Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu, who has also been attracting interest from Premier League leaders Liverpool in recent weeks.

As has been reported in Turkey by Türkiye Gazetesi, the Rossoneri have once again reignited their interest in the 24-year-old Kadioglu, a player who has been linked with the club on multiple occasions. He also became a makeweight in the deal to sell Rade Krunic in January.

As well as Milan and Liverpool, Inter, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the full-back, so there is plenty of competition to sign him.

He is under contract with Fenerbahce until 2026 and one of his main selling points is that, whilst best on the left, he can play as a defender on both flanks.

Fenerbahce have supposedly already agreed terms with another Turkish side to sign a left-back that would be the replacement for Kadioglu, so clearly there is a deal to be done if any of the above teams want to make a bid.

Liverpool are only expected to make their move for him if one of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas departs the club in the summer transfer window.

Milan are in need of a natural left-back to be the backup for Theo Hernandez, although there are a handful of players who can do a job on both flanks in the squad such as Alex Jimenez, Filippo Terracciano and Alessandro Florenzi.
