Reports: Veteran centre-back duo targeted by Milan Futuro – the names

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not just looking at players for the first team during the summer window but also those who can join the newly-formed Milan Futuro side, and two players are in their sights.

With the Rossoneri’s first year in Serie C now about to begin (the season will kick off on Saturday 10 August with the Coppa Italia), the Futuro are aiming to add some more experienced players who will assist the youngsters given they will be facing senior sides.

According to TMW, among the names on the notebook of the management is defender Marcello Possenti, who is no longer part of the plans at Renate and can leave. The 32-year-old also has interest from Carpi and Virtus Verona, but at the moment there have been no concrete offers .

Meanwhile, the journalist Nicolò Schira (via Radio Rossonera) claims that the Diavolo have recently shown interest in Alessandro Malomo, a Triestina player who came through the Roma youth ranks and is 33 years of age.

Schira claims that the request made by the central defender to Milan is for a one-year contract with an option for an extension. Both the central defenders could therefore join the likes of Dutu, Minotti, Fall, Sandri, Longo and Mastrantonio as new additions.
