AC Milan are ‘seriously considering’ paying the €28m needed to sign Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea on a permanent deal, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via SportWitness) reports that the Rossoneri have been left impressed by Tomori’s performances since his arrival are keen to sign the Englishman when his loan deal expires, given that they have an option to buy set at €28m.
The paper adds that Paolo Maldini is seriously considering paying the money needed to sign the defender from Chelsea permanently, while the article also mentions how Alessio Romagnoli is no longer guaranteed a starting place despite being the captain, something which shows how much faith Pioli has in Tomori.
Meanwhile, il Corriere dello Sport writes how ‘the only really positive winter signing’ for Milan was Tomori, something which helps to ‘fuel the idea’ that he will remain, but the fact they must pay €28m is ‘a problem’ because it is an amount that Milan will struggle to shell out at the moment.
