Reports: Pioli pondering at least four changes vs. Celtic – Theo and Calabria may be rested

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is considering making four changes to his starting XI for Thursday’s game against Celtic, according to reports.

According to MilanNews, the injury to Hakan Calhanoglu means that he will be replaced by Brahim Diaz in one forced change, but the rest of the attack should stay the same with Rafael Leao on the left and Alexis Saelemaekers on the right completing the trident behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Pioli remains undecided whether to rotate more players or whether to opt for more guarantees, but one certainty seems to be Sandro Tonali starting in defensive midfield alongside Franck Kessie.

Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez meanwhile have started every game for Milan so far this season so the head coach is also thinking of resting them, with Diogo Dalot one of the presumed replacements but the other not specified, though Pierre Kalulu is in the squad.

Meanwhile, Sky Italia (via MilanLive) are reporting the same in that Brahim Diaz and Tonali should come in and that the two full-backs could very well be rested.
