AC Milan strengthened their commercial sector by hiring five new people on Thursday, according to a report.
Friday’s edition of La Repubblica – as cited by MilanNews.it – notes that the Rossoneri’s commercial area was strengthened with the entry of five new figures yesterday.
Although no names are given in the report, the club’s official website confirmed the appointment of Valerio Rocchetti as Retail, Licensing & E-commerce Director.
Rocchetti held management roles at retail specialists Slam Jam and at Yoox Net-A-Porter Group before joining Milan.
In addition to this, they appointed Alessandro Zissis as Venue Director. Zissis has held several leadership positions at international hotel chains, primarily based in the Middle East, and worked for the Merlin Entertainment Group prior to the move.
Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer at AC Milan, offered his thoughts on the appointment of the duo.
“On behalf of my colleagues, I am very pleased to welcome Alessandro and Valerio,” he said.
“I am sure that their professional experience and their passion for this club will give a major boost to our commercial activities and enhance the engagement with our millions of fans.
“Bringing these two outstanding professionals from outside of the football industry represents another important step forward for our ambitious commercial project.”
Who the three other appointments were remains a mystery at this stage, however it is possible that the club will confirm them in further statements.
