Multiple teams have made an approach to AC Milan to try and sign new player Luka Romero on loan for the 2023/24 season, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Repubblica (via Milan News), there are plenty of clubs that have spied an opportunity to get a talented youngster on loan for the new season.
Milan recently secured the free transfer of Romero from Lazio, with the 18-year-old attacking midfielder supposedly a player to watch in the future.
It is not clear what Milan’s intentions for Romero are in the coming season, so Stefano Pioli is going to assess him for a couple of weeks in training as he is already at Milanello.
If he really impresses, there could be a role for him in the squad. A loan move does sound very plausible though, although no specific team is mentioned. Finding a Serie A side to give him regular minutes may be smart.
I think we should keep him in the squad..
Yes only messias and him are left RW
We will definitely buy/loan someone in RW this season. So if they think loaning him is best I’m all for it.
I have the opposite impression. I think our “winger department” may be complete. Pulisic is a natural right-footer, but he had his best season playing RW at Dortmund. We will probably mostly play 4-3-3 and he will be the starter at RW. Then if Leao gets injured, suspended or needs a rest Pulisic will slide over to LW and one of Messias or Salad will play RW.
The reason I think the winger department is complete is because if we purchase Musah, which seems likely, we’ll have spent almost all of the Tonali money. What will be left is the original 30m transfer kitty plus ~5m euro from Tonali and I think all of that needs to go to a striker as we have a glaring need there, so nothing left for another RW. Maybe Chukwueze on a free next summer?
Thus, I think Romero going out on loan to a Serie A side is a great idea.
Both RW andLW are OK. The problem is midfield Musah or Dommy. We don’t have Giroud’s replacement. Why not bring Retegui on 12M. Taremi, Chikwueze not possible at all where’s time is saying goodbye.
The budget for this window has been raised by Furlani according to reports. I think the 30 million sealing was only for Maldini since he wanted full control over who comes in. The new management I think will sign who they need without overspending but also without a fixed budget. Milan made 120 million from the Champions League alone so there is some headroom
I don’t believe in stf pioli’s ability to develop young players.
Let’s watch one way thinking style coaching.
