Di Marzio: Rico approves idea of Milan move but PSG are yet to give green light

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of goalkeeper Sergio Rico but there is an obstacle to overcome first, a report claims.

Gianluca Di Marzio gave an update on Milan’s hunt for a new goalkeeper during his segment on Sky (via MilanNews) last night, and he confirmed that the first talks between Milan and Paris Saint-Germain for Sergio Rico have been held.

The player would be open to making the move to Italy, but the French champions are not giving the green light for now because they hope to get rid of Keylor Navas, which would mean that Rico could become the new deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma.

In the meantime, Milan secured the signing of 24-year-old Colombian goalkeeper Devis Vasquez from Club Guarani yesterday, but it seems they are still in the market for an experienced goalkeeper who can offer more certainties as a back-up to Mike Maignan.
