Igli Tare and the AC Milan management are hard at work planning ahead of the 2025-26 season, and Wednesday was another day of meetings.
Tare almost certainly knew that it would be far from a quiet summer when he signed with Milan, and even before the ink on his contract had dried he was meeting with agents to begin mapping out the future.

A number of differently rapidly-evolving fronts – from the sale of Tijjani Reijnders to the exits (then non-exits) of Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez – have made it just about the busiest first three weeks possible for the Albanian.
In truth, the former Lazio director has inherited a bit of a mess. And yet, alongside the ever-present and seemingly more involved than ever Massimiliano Allegri, are determined to begin righting the ship.
Riso meets Milan again
MilanNews confirm that the last few days have been full of meetings, and today was no exception. Agent Beppe Riso arrived at the Rossoneri headquarters, and it is likely that a few players were spoken about with him.
Riso has a number of high-profile clients, from Sandro Tonali to Nicolo Rovella, who represent the past and the possible future (based on recent links, which quickly dissipated) of the Milan midfield. Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese is another name that has been mentioned as a Rossoneri target.
It was claimed eight days ago that Riso had met with the Diavolo leadership to discuss five players in particular: Francesco Camarda, Alexis Saelemaekers and Lorenzo Colombo – three players owned by the club – as well as the aforementioned duo of Lucca and Rovella.
Was it a cordial chat about the plans for the first three, or could there have been an acceleration on another front that would see a fresh face arrive? More will soon be known.
Two other visitors
Riso is no stranger to Casa Milan, but there were two other guests of note: Federico Pastorello and Paolo Busardò, agents and intermediaries who are often included in the various operations set up by the Rossoneri.
Starting with Pastorello, his list of clients is a bit more enigmatic in terms of who might be of interest to Milan. Patrick Cutrone is of course a former Rossoneri striker but he has never been linked with a return, and while Ange-Yoan Bonny has been named as a target Inter seem to be close to landing him.
Busardo on the other hand has a more interesting list of names with the CAA Agency. While the likes of Cole Palmer, Eberechi Eze and Bremer seem unattainable, Samuele Ricci and Niccolo Fortini have recently been mentioned as targets for Milan.
In addition to that, another player to look out for is Nadiem Amiri: we revealed at the end of last month that the Rossoneri have been scouting the Mainz star.

If Allegri and Tare manage to convince Maignan and Theo to stay then that itself would make for a great transfer window.
Other than that given virtually no player beyond maybe Pulisic played anywhere near their potential last season why not just keep the existing squad and trim it down to a manageable 23-25?
Clearly someone thought that the squad from last season could challenge for the Scudetto and the champions league.
So what’s changed?
The results on the pitch were terrible but they’ve changed the managers (twice) and more importantly they now have a proven manager.
So see what this proven manager can do with the players that the club thought were good enough to challenge for the Scudetto and the champions league.
Napoli went from 1st to 10th to 1st and the side that returned to 1st was arguably the worst given they lost their best players.
So why not just stay put, work with what you have, get this group close to their potential, and then work out what you need?
You should worry that Como just sold one of their few Italians….the thing you complain about that we lack ….and got a Spaniard and a Croatian. Although to be fair Baturina is a very good signing for you guys. Once he shines in Serie A, Como will profit on his sale
I really think you missed a lot of the point of my posts on the subject in your rage.
I never actually started supporting Como (although will always have a soft spot for them due to my childhood and Cutrone).
Milan forcing out the club captain was the last straw for me, and I needed a break. And yes I wished nothing but failure on the bastards that destroyed my club.
I’m tentatively back, encouraged by Allegri who for me is one of those Scudetto-winning legends.
But I’m still extremely raw. There’s not many players left who I care about but if I can’t find some connection with the players and club I’m watching I’ll go.
(And it makes no difference whether you care about that or not this forum allows me to vent my feelings)
