The future of Bryan Cristante looks set to be firmly at Roma as AC Milan and Juventus have been sent a signal regarding the midfielder, a report claims.
Calciomercato.com reports that Cristante is considered a fundamental player for Roma and also for Italy, one that head coaches José Mourinho and Roberto Mancini almost cannot do without. He is an anchor for the midfielder but also in the dressing room, where he always an example for the youngest players.
Roma know very well the importance that the former Milan man has and for this reason they have been working with his agent to renew the contract expiring in 2024. A general agreement has been reached in recent weeks for a new deal until 2027 with a salary that will be raised to around €3m net per season.
It is an important move by the director Tiago Pinto, who wanted to rush through the deal to send a clear message to Juventus and Milan – two of the clubs that enquired about Cristante in recent months – that the door is closed.
