MN: Romagnoli to be evaluated day-by-day as check rules out muscle lesion

By Oliver Fisher -

It appears as though Alessio Romagnoli has avoided a serious muscle injury after he limped off during AC Milan’s 0-0 draw with Inter last night.

There was a moment of danger during the game when it looked like Perisic might add to his 7 goals contributions in 8 games against Milan for Inter with what seemed a pinpoint cross to Dzeko, but the Bosnian was crowded out well at the far post by Romagnoli.

Milan were forced into a change in the 25th minute as Romagnoli was complaining about having tweaked his groin in the aforementioned challenge with Dzeko, so he gave the armband to Kessie and Pierre Kalulu came on.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, the club captain underwent medical tests this morning which excluded that he has suffered a muscular lesion to his left adductor. The evolution of his condition will be evaluated day by day, and there is no indication yet about whether he will be available to face Napoli on Sunday.
