Messaggero: Romagnoli’s future remains an enigma as Lazio’s stance causes stalemate

By Oliver Fisher -

The future of AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli continues to be uncertain as Lazio are reportedly not willing to raise their offer to him.

In recent weeks various hypotheses have been floated in the media for Romagnoli such as a move to his boyhood club Lazio, a stay in Serie A with Fiorentina, reuniting with Gennaro Gattuso at Valencia, moving to the Premier League or even renewing with Milan.

According to what Il Messaggero (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, the negotiations between Romagnoli and Lazio are currently in a stalemate. The Biancoceleste management do not move from their offer of €2.8m net per season plus bonuses.

On the other hand, the entourage of the player are asking for €3.5m per season in order to sign a contract. We could therefore head towards a situation where Romagnoli is without a club after his contract with Milan expires at the end of this month.
