Romano: Chelsea looking to offload quartet – Milan to make decision on €28m man next week

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea are hoping to be able to offload centre-back Fikayo Tomori plus other players in order to fund new signings, a report claims.

Tomori has been fantastic since his arrival on loan with an option to buy and there have been suggestions that Maldini and Massara will not hesitate to trigger the €28m option they have, though of course a top four finish would make such an investment more manageable. Milan’s Champions League fate will be settled on Sunday against Atalanta in what is a do-or-die game.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Chelsea are already working to sell some players this summer in order to raise funds. He adds that wing-back Victor Moses will join Spartak Moscow on a permanent deal with agreement reached, while Tiemoué Bakayoko and Emerson Palmieri will also leave the club this summer. Milan will decide next week about whether they will sign Tomori permanently for €28m.

  1. To my knowledge napoli doesnt have a buyout clause inserted within their loan deal for bakayoko and with his contract ending in a year he should be within our grasp at maybe 10-15 mil but who knows maybe chelsea still expects some exorbitant fee. Anyways offer chelsea 40 mil for both tomori and bakayoko and our cm/cdm would be well set for years to come.

  2. Look how bad the new jerseys look in that picture…. oh boy.. so gross. We had amazing unis this past year, we’ve now gone light-years the other way. Gross.
