Ralf Rangnick is pushing AC Milan to secure the signing of Empoli teenager Samuele Ricci in the upcoming transfer window, it is claimed.
The Rossoneri have been constantly linked with a move for Ricci over the last few months as they look to revamp their midfield department with young talent ahead of the German manager’s probable arrival.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com, Rangnick has already given directions to Milan in the last few weeks to take action for Ricci, a player who has had an impressive campaign in Serie B despite being just 18.
Rangnick is studying him personally and approves: he is a player very welcome to the German who gave the go-ahead to sign him but under conditions considered advantageous to Milan, given he still has a lot to prove.
The competition have already been in negotiations for some time with Empoli: Napoli have made an offer that is not yet adequate but does not intend to give up, while Fiorentina are also keen and relations with Empoli are very good.
