Romano: Milan agree three-year deal with U17 star – promotion to Primavera planned

AC Milan have reached an agreement over new deal for youth sector talent Christian Comotto, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano, Milan have agreed new terms with Comotto over a new contract and he will commit his future to the club for the next three years.

The contract will be valid until June 2027 and Comotto will be part of Primavera team next season. He was among youngest players ever to play in the UEFA Youth League, making his debut at 15.

He is the son of Gianluca Comotto, the former Fiorentina and Torino player, and just like Francesco Camarda he has been playing for several years at a level higher than his actual age group.

We profiled him back in December while he was starring for Milan U17s, having scored eight goals in 11 appearances at that point which earned him consideration for the Primavera.

The teenager ended with 13 goals and two assists in 21 games for the U17s of Milan in what ended up being a record-breaking season for them, and what makes those numbers even more impressive is that he played predominantly as a box-to-box player in a three-man midfield.

With the U23 project in the pipeline and a full-time promotion to the Primavera to come, there is a pathway for Comotto to the first team which may have contributed to his decision to stay.
