Romano: Milan, Chelsea and RB Leipzig among admirers of €35m LaLiga striker

AC Milan are one of the clubs in for Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson but they face some strong competition, a report claims.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are one of the teams monitoring the situation of Jackson as was reported by the Evening Standard journalist Nizaar Kinsella, but he is ‘one of many strikers’ on their list.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old is also admired by RB Leipzig, Milan and other Premier League clubs but there has been ‘no decision’ from the player or his club regarding a possible future destination.

Romano adds that the Senegal international – who scored 12 goals in 26 LaLiga games last season – has a release clause of €35m.

In January 2023, Villarreal agreed a deal to sell Jackson to Bournemouth but he failed his medical due to hamstring issues. He came back from the injury in March, and scored nine goals within the months of April and May.

  1. Yes, this should be the target for CF and he can cover both wings if necessary. But too expensive for Milan if these clubs are interested. Unfortunately, Milan can’t even compete with Leipzig today, not going to mention Chelsea and other clubs.

    1. I wouldnt be too surprised if we end up with Moussa Dembélé from lyon as our starter as his contract expires this summer,

  2. Since he has a release clause it’s a fixed price that the club or a bidding war can’t raise. We should use the entire transfer fund to pay it because we desperately need a good young striker. Complete the Kamada signing on a free. Sell Rebic, Origi, Ballo-Toure and Messias for whatever they’re worth which should add up to at least 15m (if not slightly more). Sign Orsolini for 10m for RW. Then find another free agent CM or find one to loan with option/obligation to buy next summer. Promote Chaka Traore as the backup LW (or even Daniel Maldini), Bozzolan as the backup LB, and bring Colombo back as the 3rd striker. And that’s your squad on a budget. It’s not great, but I think it’s actually better than what we currently have.

    GK:
    1. Mike
    2. Sportiello
    3. Jungdal?

    LB:
    1. Theo
    2. Bozzolan
    3. Florenzi/Calabria

    RB:
    1. Calabria
    2. Florenzi
    3. Saelemaekers

    LCB:
    1. Tomori
    2. Kalulu
    3. Kjaer
    4. Gabbia

    RCB:
    1. Thiaw
    2. Kalulu
    3. Kjaer
    4. Gabbia

    LCM:
    1. Tonali*
    2. Krunic
    3. Pobega
    *until Bennacer returns

    RCM:
    1. New CM*
    2. Krunic

    1. I think marcus still priority target for striker , alternative jackson ( 35m ) or boniface ( 15-20m).My prediction :
      GK : maignan,sportielo,mirante
      CB : Tomori,Thiaw,Kjaer,Gabbia,Kalulu ( can also RB)
LW:Theo,Parisi(if have budget to buy, if not just use Ballo Toure)
      RW:Calabria,Florenzi
      DMF/CMF:Tonali,Bennacer,Pobega,Krunic,new player
      AMF:Kamada,CDK,Adili
      RW:new player,Saladmaker( can also LW)
      LW:Leao,Chaka
CF:Marcus or jackson or boniface,Giroud,Lazetic or colombo
It is hard to buy 3 player ( CF,DMF,RW) so maybe we make loan offer . I predict budget are 50m euro + sale player so we can get total 70m euro budget

    2. Interesting you’re saying Bologna will gift us Orsolini for 10M? 🤔
Yea I doubt that. Realistically in this kind of markets he’s probably 25-30m to start

      1. His contract is expiring next year. Bologna can get a maximum of 15M and that is if they are lucky and 5 clubs make offers so the price gets raised. They can also wait and see him leave for free next season. Realistically you have no idea.

      2. With a year left on contract??? If anyone can less afford to lose a player for free than us it is a club like Bologna.

  3. NEXT NEXT NEXT!!!!

Maybe if it was 3.5M and not 35M we have a slight chance! hahahahahahaha!

What a fkn disgrace. TY Red$hit!!
