Romano: Milan make decision on future of midfielder as Benfica submit offer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are willing to let Alen Halilovic leave the club this summer, according to a report, with interest arriving from one club in particular.

As Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com states, Halilovic has returned to Milan from his loan at Heerenveen in the Netherlands, where he made 17 appearances and scored one goal.

Milan for their part are not considering the idea of giving him a second chance, in large part down to the fact that Zvone Boban – his compatriot – has left the club.

The Rossoneri instead now wish to sell the 24-year-old who has a year left on his current deal, and in the last few hours Benfica have made their move by making an offer to Milan.

Halilovic is open to the idea of a move to the Portuguese capital and could say goodbye to the Rossoneri after two seasons, and he is now waiting for the negotiations with Benfica to come alive.
