Romano: ‘Here we go’ – Milan to sign Verona defender with fee and terms agreed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have agreed a deal that will see them sign Filippo Terracciano from Hellas Verona in the coming days, according to various different sources.

The rumours were fuelled earlier in the week when a video showed Andrea D’Amico – Terracciano’s representative – arriving at Casa Milan to hold discussions with the Rossoneri management over his client, and the links have grown since then.

According to what is being reported by Fabrizio Romano, Milan have agreed a deal to sign Terracciano from Hellas Verona. He states that the final fee will be €4.5m plus €1m in bonuses, with a verbal agreement between clubs in place.

An agreement has also been reached also on personal terms, which means that the famous ‘Here we go’ stamp has also been issued. More details should follow regarding his medical and the terms of his contract.

Milan seem to be admirers of Terracciano for a few reasons: he is young (20), Italian (therefore useful for squad lists), has the potential to grow and also his versatility too. He can play both left and right-back, centre-back, wing-back and even in midfield.

The likes of Juventus, Bologna and Fiorentina have also been linked in recent days but it seems the Rossoneri have got the deal over the line.

  1. Next signing, a DM or Striker. It’s interesting that Man Utd is interested with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and not Guirassy although the release clause is not expensive for now.

    1. I get Guirassy may be a late bloomer when it comes to bursting onto the scene, but is he really worth it? I genuinely don’t know anything about him beyond what I see on paper with goals scored.

  2. So they pulled the plug on Miranda for this kid, who seems more versatile than the Spaniard. Guess the Growth Decree is doing its job. Love it or hate it.

    1. yes 1 report says so and now thats gospel to you

I swear people here dont know how rumors work and they believe literally everything they read online

      1. Well, if you do some leg work (or not) you would see that Fabrizio Romano also confirmed this. So, not just one report. THE report. 🙂 GOSPEL.

Happy Friday, Pal. Hope you have a GREAT day.

  3. He is Italian, 4 years younger than Miranda, and more versatile. We have all seen what versatility does for a player in the case of Pulisic who can comfortably play LW, RW, and SS. More positions, more minutes.

  4. But Tuttosport swore we went interested anymore lol. Oh and I doubt this has anything to do with the growth decree.

There is a long standing requirement regarding Italian players in the squad.

Anyways, I think he will do fine here. Seems a very promising player.

  5. I don’t understand this singing…. He play mostly RB, he can play LB as well at least that is what they say but as Rb we have Calabria, Florenzi and Kalulu when he is coming back, for LB yes we need a back up for Theo but why not give a chance to Jimenez? I don’t see how this guy is better than him, also it cost around 5 mil to buy him from Real

    1. I’m confused are you saying we shouldn’t sign him because he’s versatile? Honestly playing the left vs the right only matters if the player is one footed, obviously everyone has their preference but if a player can dribble and pass with both feet than he can play either side.

    2. Florenzi is going away eventually Calabria needs competition to improve and stay consistent. Theo needs back up. This kid is supposed to be the Swiss Army Knife in the back.

  6. I am always very skeptical of players who are jack of all trades but master of none, specially in defense. Dude doesnt have any specific characteristics that stands out, he is good at tackling like ALL italian young defenders.

In defense, specific expertise matters a lot. If you are a central defender, your characteristics are very different than a LB or RB. Same goes for LB/RB compared to CB. Any player who can play all of LB/RB/CB/DM means he aint particularly good ANYWHERE and is guaranteed to be prone to HUGE mistakes. Case in example.. KALULU.

      1. @bb Exceptions are not example’s my friend. Maldini/Kaladze were unique as they could read the game unlike any other. Modern Football hasn’t yet found another defender like Maldini/Kaladze/Cannavaro to this day. Not saying the young one is bad, but i think he will make some major/unforgivable mistakes. Multi-role young defenders always do now a days.

          1. In primavera yes.. ! but when you make it to pro league, elementary mistakes in a big club will end your career specially in defense.

      1. @woy.. each of them mastered a specific role first for YEARS before taking up another role. None of them started young with a tag that he can play multiple roles.
