Romano states Modric chose Milan despite warning: “With a love that is rare to find”

If Luka Modric had moved to a Champions League club this summer, there would have been no shock. However, he didn’t.

The history of Milan and Modric has been well documented. From a child, he has been pictured in club tracksuits, and admitted as much when questioned about the Rossoneri throughout his career. Now, he is fulfilling that dream.

Like his idol, Zvonimir Boban, did before him, he is representing the Diavolo, and though they are no longer at their peak, he is still aiming to get them there. He has already wished for trophies, and so far, the team are playing better as they get into the season.

Modric’s will

Last night, the Croatian was the only goalscorer in the win against Bologna, a huge result, all things considered. It was not a win without frustration. However, three points were secured and Modric has achieved another childhood ambition: a goal at San Siro.

It could have been so different, though. Fabrizio Romano explained how on his YouTube channel, as MilanNews relay.

“Even though some who know Modric well urged him to consider joining AC Milan without a Champions League spot, at 40 years old, with the possibility of joining a Milan struggling financially, Modric chose AC Milan with a love that is rare to find these days. Luka Modric is giving it his all, not only in terms of performances, but also in helping those on the pitch with him understand the importance of AC Milan and what AC Milan can do this season under Max Allegri.”

  1. People often forgot that Berlusconi is responsible for this. If Milan wasn’t strong under him, in late 80s and 90s Modric wouldn’t be a fan probably (and Boban signing of course). This is why Manchester United and Milan are still attracting top players, even if the results are not really there…

    1. look passionate owners are rare and knowing that your club should have class in your starting 11 is essential.

But the same owners forgot that the club exists even after they die and they should leave it better off than they found it in and Berlusconi couldn’t accomplish that part.

      1. Clearly not even the first idea of what and where Milan was before Berlusconi, just no clue.

This site is full of people who claim to support milan but if you read their comments you would assume they are Interistas
