Fabrizio Romano issues update on speculation Milan are in talks over Real Madrid’s Isco

Speculation from Spain that AC Milan are in talks over a possible deal for Isco of Real Madrid have been quickly squashed by Fabrizio Romano.

Spanish source ABC reported earlier today that Isco will not renew his deal with Real Madrid which is all set to expire in June 2022, as he wants to play for another team where he has guaranteed playing time.

An asking price of €20m has been set but the main hurdle is the €7m net per season (€13m gross) that the 29-year-old earns. Despite this, Arsenal and other Premier clubs are interested while the report also mentioned that Milan are keen on signing the four-time Champions League winner.

According to Fabrizio Romano however (via MadridXtra), There is ‘nothing’ between Isco and Milan, as of today at least. It could well be therefore that the management are focusing on other targets, but for now it appears the 29-year-old is not in the viewfinder.
